Join Abby. Protect Our Access To Affordable Health Care.

-As a summer intern for Congressman Keith Ellison, I talk with a lot of voters about what’s at stake this election.

Today, the stakes could not be clearer.

Republicans in the House of Representatives are voting for the 31st time to take away our access to affordable care and patient protections. If the GOP had their way, it would mean greater financial hardship for millions of Americans—including myself.

I was born with a rare congenital disease and getting the care I need is costly. Before the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, I was very concerned about my future and whether I would be able to access care. Thanks to the ACA, I can continue to get the care I need because I can stay on my parents’ health plan until I turn 26.

Now that insurance companies can no longer deny care to children with pre-existing conditions or place limits on our care, millions of Americans like me can visit a doctor and get the care we need.

I believe ALL Americans have the right to affordable health care. If you agree, click here and add your name to our petition today.
