Check out this message from Keith:
Yesterday, my good friend Senator Scott Dibble outlined the challenges we face in our battle to defeat the anti-marriage constitutional amendment.
You can expect to see millions spent on television ads from right-wing groups pushing hateful scare tactics aimed at dividing the electorate. Need proof? Earlier this week, the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) was exposed for intentionally working to divide Americans across racial lines.
According to previously confidential documents that were just released, NOM’s ‘strategic goal’ is to ‘drive a wedge between gays and blacks,’ which they cite as ‘two key Democratic constituencies.’
Our campaign works to bring our communities together, not tear them apart. Can you chip in $10 or more to help us organize for inclusion? We’re over halfway to breaking our $10,000 goal by a critical March 31 fundraising deadline, so please contribute right now.
We are up against powerful special interests that will spend millions to advance their agenda. Already, NOM has donated more than $250,000 to Minnesotans for Marriage as they work to enshrine the anti-marriage amendment in our state's constitution.
We can’t let it happen.
If you contribute today, we can put boots on the ground sooner to organize our communities around inclusion and deliver the votes we need to win. With our goal to turn out 20,000 new voters, every dollar will make a difference.
P.S. Immediately after I learned about NOM’s divisive tactics, I released a statement condemning their actions. Your support helps me speak to Minnesotans and others around the country about holding the radical right accountable. Please help me continue speaking out for our progressive values by chipping in $10 or more right now.
