The economy is in trouble, wages don’t keep up with rising costs of living, and more and more Americans can’t afford health care – all while we ship more jobs overseas and spend billions of dollars on a war in Iraq we can’t win.
But we have other choices – decisions that can lead us back toward the politics of generosity and inclusion, toward a country where our success isn’t defined by another’s loss, but by our collective gain.
These are the choices the non-partisan Drum Major Institute shows Keith made each and every time he had a chance to vote for a strong middle class. These votes help American families build strength at work through our unions, ensure a future for our kids through world-class education, and care for our sick through affordable health care. These were votes to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, care for our environment, and kick-start clean energy innovation here at home. And these were votes that advance Keith’s hard work for peace, sustainability, and prosperity for working families.
Keith and his supporters thank the Drum Major Institute for its diligent work in tracking and publicizing Congress’s progress toward an America that works for all of us.
